Chinoiserie is renowned for it's collection of tree & herbaceous Peonies collected around the world from China, Japan, Europe & America. A colourful plant collector's garden set on 1.25 acres. Plantings consists of long herbaceous borders, potager, gravel & alpine garden and a new addition, a Chinese garden adjacent to a stream and pond. Peonies are at their peak around mid October to early November.

Tree Peonies

The best time to view Peonies is from Early October to Early November. Some Peonies flower early and some variety later,but one will manage to enjoy some of these blooms during this peroid.

We visited last week and though cold and dry weather have made for a late spring it was still most enjoyable. Dominic kindly provided us with free passes to return in a few weeks when the peonies will have woken up. Chris

Have visited this garden today and will be coming back. What a wonderful garden. Dominic's work is outstanding. The peonies are must to see. it is one of my favourite gardens visited today and the lovely pink wisteria was stunning. Well worth a visit. Glenda.

One of my favourite gardens having visited it since it first opened and seen it grow. The paeonies were looking spectacular yesterday. Also a beautiful wisteria. so many lovely perennial plants to enjoy too.
