Local garden enthusiasts will again showcase the beauty and variety of the cool-climate gardens of Robertson and surrounding areas at this year's Robertson Open Gardens and Spring Plant Fair.

A taste of our wonderful Spring gardens

The gardens are set in beautiful surroundings, some with sweeping views of the rolling hills. Whether you enjoy formal or informal designs you will find them among the gardens on display. See features like garden rooms surrounded by manicured hedges filled with salvias, tree dahlia, roses and cardoons.

Many make great use of trees and shrubs that are close clipped in a variety of shapes. Other gardens use natural water courses linking ponds and large ornamental lakes.

In the gardens large trees are planted throughout, including maples sweet chestnut, an avenue of plane trees, birch groves, interspersed with plantings of rhododendrons and camellias.
