Merribee's garden spans seven acres of sensory splendour. Since purchasing the property in 2000, it's been an evolving masterpiece for Lucy and Richard Marshall. Plant life flourishes in this coastal land, and with the assistance of horticulturist James Thompson, it has been fashioned into a garden rich with diverse plantings of trees, shrubs and herbaceous plants. The gardens are open Wednesdays, or by appointment for private tour groups.

The grounds display an embarrassment of earthly riches - the fragrances waft from every nook and cranny, the birdlife is as vibrant as the garden's rainbow palette and the edible fruits range from mango, guava and apple to pomegranate, passionfruit and avocados.
