WILDWOOD SPRING SEASON

Wildwood Spring season begins on August 11 when the garden when the garden is waking up from the cold of winter. The first to bloom is the Camellia where at Wildwood with over 600 varieties in the garden there is much to see. Camellia shows are held here on the 3rd & 4th weekends of August when they are at their peak. Reticulata, Japonica, hybrid & miniatures (pictured above) - the shows are spectacular & free to visit however walking through the garden is even better as the number of people who want a pic with these large flowering beauties is testament to this. Spring is the time of year when there are so many plants in bloom its hard to pick a time when there won't be flowers out. Visitor Comments

A large and very pleasant garden, with areas of woodland that feature dogwoods, maples and cherry trees, with well kept open lawns, perennial gardens that feature salvias of numerous varieties. The signage is very helpful! A cafe with light lunches, morning and afternoon tea is a welcome respite, with lovely views over the garden. There is also a nursery attached that sells a large variety of salvias! We enjoyed our visit very much, thank you Wayne & Sue for a very pleasant visit! Annette & Peter
Annette - April 2019
A beautiful garden set in a lovely cool climate area. Well worth a visit, plenty to look at and the owners have gone to great lengths to put up very helpful signage, not only in relation to the type of plants in a particular area, but also advising of sloping ground, water etc, very impressive.
