Garden Guide

We purchased 'Foggy Dew' 8 years ago as we fell in love with the old 1920's Arts & crafts cottage & neglected garden. It had many of the big trees for the shade that we needed for our perennial collection that were sitting in pots just 'Waiting' de ...

Down the Garden Path

Walk down the winding path through the sunny perennial garden which leads to a woodland area with rare South African Haemanthus & Scadoxus. Also present are some of the many Terrestrial Orchids imported for our collection over the past few years.

Areas of the Garden

Sit by the pond full of water iris, pond lilies & happy fish, listen to the frogs & watch the dragon flies hovering.

Flowers in the Garden

Beautiful Eremurus also known as Foxtail Lilies grow here happily with Calamagrostis x acutiflora 'Karl Foerster' & variegated Euphorbia. Followed later by Papaver orientalis, Penstemons & Rudbeckia's.

Terrestrial Orchids

We have imported many of these orchids over the last 16 years from all over the world & as soon as they are out of quarantine we plant them directly into out well drained, open garden soil in the woodland. We have many different ones & they will be in flower from October through November for the Spring open garden.

Visitor Comments

I would like to thank you so much for opening your wonderful garden. We felt so privileged to have been able to spend so much time investigating your outstanding collection of rare plants in such a magnificently landscaped setting. It is a credit to you both . We saw plants which we have only ever read about, plus many new ones as well. Our purchases from your collection were a great talking point on the way home . Our trip was a horticultural delight indeed--worth the long drive from Toowoomba
