We purchased 'Foggy Dew' 8 years ago as we fell in love with the old 1920's Arts & crafts cottage & neglected garden. It had many of the big trees for the shade that we needed for our perennial collection that were sitting in pots just 'Waiting' de ...
Walk down the winding path through the sunny perennial garden which leads to a woodland area with rare South African Haemanthus & Scadoxus. Also present are some of the many Terrestrial Orchids imported for our collection over the past few years.
Sit by the pond full of water iris, pond lilies & happy fish, listen to the frogs & watch the dragon flies hovering.
Beautiful Eremurus also known as Foxtail Lilies grow here happily with Calamagrostis x acutiflora 'Karl Foerster' & variegated Euphorbia. Followed later by Papaver orientalis, Penstemons & Rudbeckia's.

We have imported many of these orchids over the last 16 years from all over the world & as soon as they are out of quarantine we plant them directly into out well drained, open garden soil in the woodland. We have many different ones & they will be in flower from October through November for the Spring open garden.
