The Gardens in Farrell Flat, Burra and Mt Bryan

Gardeners who love to share and chat with visitors.
Our gardens are very diverse, from traditional to country, succulent and vegetable/pollinators. All gardens are made with love and passion by avid garden owners who work tirelessly in our demanding evironment. Winters are very cold, frosts can go down to minus 12, it snows occasionally. Summers are long and harsh with temperatures in the 40's, relief comes with summer storms. The last few years the area has been in drought, but our gardeners keep going to produce some truly beautiful gardens for you to enjoy.

We'll also be running some sustainability workshops with Recreate. While these are aimed at kids, adults are welcome to join in, go to the website homepage for details. One will be botanical printing, the other will be making an insect hotel to take home. They'll also have recycled tthings for sale and beneficial insect attracting plant kits.

We'll also have indigenous weaving and make a pot workshops, check the website for more info.  More Info »

Creators of art will be in the gardens selling some of their wares, and to chat to you. Our website will show who'll be there to tempt you.  More Info »

The Italian Gardener

Who doesn't love Italian food? Tim will be on hand with his generous packets of Franchi seed imported from Italy. Many of his vegies are not grown commercially here, chat to him and see what's on offer. We always buy Franchi seeds, great germination and fabulous selection.

Tim is also an award winning designer, eager for people to grow vegies in small spaces. He won his award for the vertical garden at cafe Argo in Norwood. With blocks getting smaller and many people living in apartments, this is the way to go.

Tim hopes to give avertical gardening workshop, check on the website later for details.  More Info »
