One of our gardens open for you during the festival is Lyn and Max's. The main paddock, once the province of horses, is now home to free-ranging chickens and geese - securely fenced off from the thriving vegetable garden. Mature camellias and other ornamentals surround the house with the home orchard close by with its impressive fruit and nut trees.
Open Sat 26th Sep 1.30 to 4pm, Sun 27th Sep 10.30 to 1pm.
Sat 17th Oct 10.30 to 1 pm, Sun 18th Oct 1.30 to 4 pm
At June and Neville's wind spinners mark a little gate that leads to the grassy path lined by an eclectic blend of native and exotic fruiting and flowering trees. Lining the driveway native and exotic shrubberies provide perfect habitats for wild birds, bandicoots and lounging lizards, as does the ornamental garden growing in the old pool. A gazebo makes a perfect setting for growing flowering and fruiting plants in hanging baskets and beneath mature trees azaleas, camellias, a rhododendron and a bromeliad thrive.
Open Sat 26th Sep 1.30 to 4pm, Sun 27th Sep 10.30 to 1pm.
Sat 17th Oct 10.30 to 1 pm, Sun 18th Oct 1.30 to 4 pm
The rainbow flag trail takes you past an aviary, the ornamental pond and the front house lawn. Here you may see wild and domestic birds enjoying the garden. Keep a look out for lazy lizards, unicorns, a fairy and gnomes - they are usually basking in the sunshine.
Once past the ivy-clad wishing well, you will come to a garden path that takes you to the house verandah lined with flower filled herbaceous borders, potted plants and our garden art. And then past the ponies and horses in their paddocks.
Open Sat 26th Sep 1.30 to 4pm, Sun 27th Sep 10.30 to 1pm.
