Come and enjoy the full and lush garden of early Autumn at Rythdale for this 'one-off' open garden. Rythdale Cottage won Grand Champion Wollondilly Garden for 2023 and was featured in Country Style December 2023. Our 2000sqm garden, positioned on an extreme slope, is a labour of love that we have designed built and cherished since moving to Rythdale in 2018. Tickets must be purchased in advance, there will be limited numbers.

The back hill and terrace is the newest addition to the property. Stretching from boundary to boundary it features a dry river bed, native plantings and tough perennial plantings. Built in 2022, this project champions sandstone and allows you to enjoy the view over Picton township.
The pool garden is sits snugly between the chicken coop and wicking beds. Sandstone steps enveloped in greenery and sandwiched between dahlias lead you to the pool area.
You will be able to view the pool from within the garden during your visit.
The handbuilt glasshouse is filled with shade loving and heat sensitive plants.
The vegetable patch is full of seasonal produce and plants. A wide range of vegetables are produced alongside flowers and plants grown for distillation. Vegetables are in raised garden beds with various structures to support growth.
The front garden is full of perennials, roses and hedging. It was re planted in 2022 with a more upright shape and feel including yarrow and salvias. A hedge of roses lines the house driveway.
